AHEC Scholar Excellence Award

You may apply for this conference and publication award if you are an AHEC Scholar in the Texas AHEC East Region.

Criteria for Selection:
Conference and publication awards are funded on a rolling basis to Texas AHEC East Scholars who are invited to present at a conference or publish in a scientific journal. AHEC Scholars will need to demonstrate how this award will impact their future training and career goals and contribute to a better understanding of at least one of the AHEC Core Topic Areas. It is expected that award recipients will complete all aspects of the AHEC Scholars program.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be active as a Texas AHEC East Scholar (in their first or second year in the AHEC Scholars program). Applicant must be current in requirements (i.e., assignments and hours) towards completion of AHEC Scholars. If awarded, this is a one-time funding opportunity. Applicants may reapply if not awarded.

Follow Up:
After the conference presentation or publication submission, award recipients also agree to send a short report detailing their involvement/experience.
